bittersweet, this poetry that flows,
steady as she goes, we all float along her for a piece,
and bittersweet, the memories we chose to carry in our boats,
the only part of over we can keep,
+++ I know, or I believe that you are with me,
+++ I can’t show how, it’s hardly scientific,
+++ but I don’t doubt, since all we do is choose among the dreams,
+++ I choose bittersweet..

once I had a friend who knew me well,
she could always tell when I was less than honest with myself,
we would look for fossils at the dig, her love for me was big,
my love for her was trapped inside a shell,
+++++ and the fossil is the way the rock remembers,
+++++ just like lightning leaves her memory on the tree,
+++++ there’s a shoebox in the basement full of letters
+++++ that I don’t read, that I don’t read..
+++ but I know, or I believe that you are with me,
+++ I can’t show how, there’s nothing you can point to,
+++ but I don’t doubt, since all we do is choose among the dreams,
+++ I choose.. I choose.. I choose..

    Please record Bittersweet, I was reminded of it a few days ago, I saw you years ago when I lived in Pittsburgh and I heard you play it and I can’t get it out of my head, It doesn’t help I only have the bits in my mind that I remember of it. If you get around to it, that would be awesome. Hope all is well.
    Best Wishes,
    Ari
