Monkey in the Middle

Tab

everybody’s out there, doin’ their best
doin’ their worst, makin’ their mess
and a little town water tower tells where you’re at
stuck like a pin in a life-sized map
+++ come on, monkey in the middle
+++ come on, tell me a riddle
+++ come on, we’re all playin’ second fiddle to a sunrise

everybody’s out there tryin’ their tricks
jugglin’ and strugglin’ to make it stick
we pick the craziest reasons to feel proud
we’re creatures of habit, for cryin’ out loud
+++ come on… we’re all playin’ second fiddle to a sunrise
+++ blue skies, brown eyes, what a big surprise..

everybody’s out there, look at `em go
they’re runnin’ like clowns in the rodeo
from the sweat of our hearts to the beat of our hands
we’re pieces and parts of one marching band
+++ come on, monkey in the middle
+++ come on, tell me a riddle
+++ come on, we’re all playin’ second fiddle to a sunrise,
+++ to blue skies, to brown eyes, what a big surprise…
