White Chocolate

white chocolate tastes like no chocolate, it’s just pale and sweet,
like those Varga girls with their hairless bodies, somehow incomplete,

but they’re so nice,
with their big blonde hair & their bleached-blue eyes,
they look so kind, well,
maybe it’s time they changed their minds..

white lies aren’t quite lies, they just hide the truth,
‘cause the adman and the newsman can’t make money off the blues,
they need to feed the public sweet tooth,
fill us up on TV dinners,
maybe we’ll forget the hell that’s happenin’ right outside the door,
and they swear that satisfaction is a very cheap distraction
on sale in aisle four, you must need some more,

but they’re so nice,
flashing all the colors of 100 dollar ties,
they look so kind, well,
maybe it’s time they changed their minds..

white noise is a slight noise, and it’s hard to hear,
it just keeps buzzin’ around in the background,
you forget it’s even there,
that’s why I’d rather be a church bell and I’d wake somebody up at dawn,
and you and I could be a death knell, cry out,
“Why the hell is this still goin’ on? It’s been way too long…”

but we’re so nice,
with the stick marks on our backs and the carrots in our eyes,
we look so kind, well,
maybe it’s time we changed their minds, ‘cause…

white chocolate tastes like no chocolate taste like…
