Wake The Dragon

Now once he’s in your house you’ve got to be quiet as a mouse,
tiptoe around,
Sleeping on your porch,
Mama says one scorch could burn the whole place down,
If he woke up in your car,
your family might drive farther than they like,
‘cause once he’s in your heart you’re off to a bad start,
you’ve gotta keep him occupied…

I wanna wake the dragon, Papa can I wake the dragon?
I wanna wake the dragon, make him dance and sing,
I wanna wake the dragon, please, Mama can I wake the dragon?
I wanna wake the dragon, watch him burn down… everything..

If he’s sleeping in your room you can’t use a broom,
that might raise dust,
& Mama says one sneeze
as quick as you please would burn you to a crust,
If he woke in the garage,
I wonder if he’d fry the Dodge or the Ford,
I know we’re not supposed to try to open his eyes,
but still, I’m getting so bored… CHORUS

Now once he’s in your house you’ve got to be quiet as a mouse,
don’t make a sound,
‘cause if we make too much noise,
Mama says, boys, we’ll end up golden brown,
still, when he’s sleeping there like that,
he don’t look so bad, he looks almost serene,
I know we’re not supposed to try to open his eyes,
but still, well, you know what I mean… CHORUS

Hey Brad! Is it okay if I sing this song (and maybe some others) with my students? Print out the lyrics, etc? How do you feel about that? Thanks!
