Vera

Vera, you are not the one who let the whole world down, you were
waiting on the sidewalk when they pulled the car around, and nowno one’s keeping score, Vera, no,
no one’s keeping score anymore..you say you’ve got a lot to lose, and so you skip the scene, but
offers we cannot refuse, they’re few and far between, thiscould be so much more, Vera, now
no one’s keeping score anymore..used to be a time, you were free to shine, you were so alive that night,
back before the grind, you were no one’s prize, I can see you burning bright,
but they were not your friends, they had other ends, still you made it out alive, Vera, Vera..
girl I know the distant crowd that used to box you in, and I
know you hear them calling out, time and time again,
but Vera, they can’t touch you now, that was way back when, andno one’s keeping score, Vera, no,
no one’s keeping score anymore,
no one’s keeping score, Vera, no,
no one’s keeping score anymore..anymore, Vera.. anymore, Vera.. anymore, Vera…
