+++ you are not my answer, but you are more than simple chance,
+++ come let me be your dancer and we could do a simple dance,
+++ go back and forth, you can take my hand for what it’s worth,
+++ swing side to side, then just before our hearts collide,
+++ we’ll turn around and smile

I’m just a beginner, in fact I’ve been one all along,
but if you need a tenor, then we can sing a simple song,
sing high and low, you can tell me if I sing too slow,
sing soft and loud, then just before the final chord
we’ll turn around and smile
and this is not the end, no, this is just the start, my friend,
‘cause when you’re not around, that’s when the echoes will abound,
of all the plays we wrote, don’t think I haven’t taken note
of everything you were and are…

Hovering together here on the brink of setting sail, and I
can’t predict the weather, but I can tell a simple tale,
and on and on, long after all the daylight’s gone,
