there’s a snowman from hell who’s been waiting to talk to you
and the Eskimo who bought the ice maker’s here with me, too,
we were hoping to catch your attention before the night’s through,
+++ improbable as it may be,
+++ impossible as it might seem…

they’re all dancing the dance that their grandparents danced in the war
now that everything old’s coming back, I feel much more secure,
and I’ll stand in a line to buy tickets for Mozart’s world tour,
+++ improbable as it may be,
+++ impossible as it might seem…
+++++ there’s a chance that you could love me
+++++ half a chance that we’d be happy,
+++++ all I ask is the possibility

and the newspaper said that in India they’re testing the bomb,
they keep aiming at barn doors, and missing, and they don’t know what’s wrong,
it only confirms the suspicions I’ve held all along,
+++ improbable as it may be,
+++ impossible as it might seem…
+++++ there’s a chance that you could love me
+++++ half a chance that we’d be happy,
+++++ all I ask is the possibility,
+++ improbable as it may be,
+++ impossible as it might seem…
