girl in a bar, waiting for someone to come and
sit next to her, start to make everything better,
+++ isn’t that the dream we carry in our heads?
+++ the one that wakes us in our beds?
+++ it’s 3am, but you’re not sleeping..

girl in a bar, laughing with friends, laughter comes
much easier, now the workday’s ended,
+++ isn’t that the way we try to ease the ache?
+++ catch our breath between mistakes?
+++ anything to take the edge off..
+++++ you were born in a small town orbiting around New York,
+++++ you were warned to stay away from dreams you can’t afford,
+++++ now you’re torn between a comfortable routine,
+++++ and something more..

leaving alone, she shuffles to her car,
only a few blocks from home, she will drive there slowly,
